SELF CARE IS A WILD RIDE

Life hit me like a ton of bricks last year or should I say, I manifested a shit ton of chaotic changes to free myself from things that I didn’t want but thought that I should want. My boyfriend broke up with me unexpectedly when I got back from a trip from Seattle. Then I took breaks from a best friend of seven years. I retreated into myself and felt really lost, alone, and confused. I felt guilty that I wasn’t loving my career. I was hitting my goals, getting promoted, getting raises, traveling, and working with truly a great bunch of people. Wtf?!

I realized that I didn’t love my life, myself, or my career. In some way, I manifested the break-up, the big friendship changes, and the move to a new apartment. I did know that I wanted to start my own business. I was just scared of all of the what-if’s and was trying to do my damn best by myself. On top of that, I realized that I had become so detached from my true self that I was living in an alternate universe of my own creation. Yikes!

I never wanted a corporate career. I wanted a life of freedom and a service-based career. I never wanted a white picket lifestyle so why was I forcing my relationship to go down this path? I never wanted to be on the corporate ladder, so why was I on it? I was doing all of the things that I thought I should do, because that’s what I thought other people wanted for me. I thought that was what being an adult meant. False.

This life breakdown - I mean awakening - came at the quarter life marker for me, and I couldn’t ignore the changes that I had to make in order to feel better, to feel aligned and good about my dang life.

What did I do? I hired a coach so that I could learn how to create my own world of service where I could help and serve women who also felt like they were on the verge of a new chapter of their lives. I believed in my gifts to coach and serve women who want to fall in love with their lives, themselves, and their career. We want to thrive on all levels! We deserve that.

Today, I use my passion and knowledge of holistic health and wellness paired with my background in design and writing to inspire and empower women to take action in their lives and find motivation in meaning. You have gifts and a message and only you can serve your message to the world.

Loving yourself means going through your fears, facing the monsters in your closet, and liberating yourself from guilt, shame, and regret. Release those low vibes and create space for higher, brighter energies.

Self-love is a never-ending process. We’re complex humans with many layers. As we heal one layer, there will be another one later that will need TLC as we rise to the next level of our life.

When you try out the journaling exercises, really get to know yourself, and start taking care of yourself from a place of love and respect, I guarantee you that good things will start flowing. Your energy and confidence will be on point, and you’ll be a higher vibe match for good shit.

I’m not saying that I’m perfect or that I love myself all of the time. That would be a bit insane, but I do know how to re-center myself when I feel down, out of it, and anxious. I have my soothing self-care processes that I’ve shared above and know that I can turn to when I release my crazy. My intention is that you’ll feel better equipped in your day to day life and that you will never give up on your dreams. Your success is imminent if you keep going even when you don’t feel like it or “know that it will work”. Work it, and it will work for you!
**Bonus Tip: You must be open and willing to receive your gifts of abundance, love, and joy. You are worthy, because you are alive. You are just as worthy as anyone else. Ask and receive, baby!
